After I decide which pumpkins to keep should I terminate the other vines or just the fruit on them because they're going to help nourish my plant by their roots?

Just cull the fruit. You are correct, the other vines will help to nourish the remaining pumpkins by both the leaves and the tap roots. --Bruiser

Is it o.k. to terminate the end of some of the vines? They're taking over my garden. These plants are amazing!!!
