i removed the seeds from my 900lbs pumpkin saturday. i was surprized to count 882 seeds but out of that only 100 were mature with 50, 3/4 mature. 600 large white flat ones and the rest were tiny paper. i opened a few white ones that were not quit so flat to find a thin membrain that would have been the starter leafs. due to this and the fact i cut the pumpkin off early and growth was slowed last week due to desieses. how big would it have gotten?

Mr T.....how long was that pumpkin on the vine? last year the only fruit i had that "went the distance" had alot of immature seeds like you described, however there were only 164 mature seeds in the fruit, WAY below normal. Sometimes that's just the way it is.
