has anyone ever used preen weed preventer either on or around the patch?

All products of that nature introduce risks that I choose to avoid. I think that is what I generally read here too.

My concern with Trifluralin (Preen, Treflan, Etc) is the chance of reduced secondary rooting.

I tryed it this year ,I am now looking at weeds.
I hope I diden't mess up to much.
put it every were but in the cold frame.
the plants are just starting to run.
