More of a turf analysis. Equal N & K is popular for making foliage plants more durable. Potash is repsonsible for guard cell formation so treated plants are more drought & disease tolerant. But at this time of year, the emphasis for pumpkins ought to be on Phosphorous for root developement. 17-5-17 would be better in a few weeks when vine growth is desirable. Steve
