I just wanted to let all of you who know Paul Handy that his heart surgery went well on Thursday and he is beginning the slow recovery process. He says he's still going to grow this year, but maybe only (3) plants and probably with a lot of help from his son, Steve. Anyway, he does check this site out often and will have a lot of time to do so in the next 8-9 months, so feel free to post a note to him here,I'm sure it will speed up his recovery and brighten his day. After all that treadmill can be very lonely.

Hope you see this and are recovering swiftly. I wish you a speedy recovery and a 1400 pounder next season (assuming of course mine is 1401). Good luck with the doctors, trust me I know they only think they know what they are talking about half the time, if you can endure their pestering I am sure you can make it back out to the patch in no time. Best wishes and may you dream up better plans for bigger pumpkins in your downtime.

The best feelings and wishes from Spain for a meteoric recovery. Easy garden work is the best for that, keep them growing.

Best wishes for a full & speedy recovery. Do garden, it's good for the soul. Don't push too hard too soon, it's bad for the body! Get well soon.

Good Luck Paul we only wish you the best and a speedy recovery. Of course having Steve take care of your plants isnt the worst thing that could happen. Between the 2 of you, you only have a few 1000+ in the background.

Jim thanks for letting us know. Best wishes to Paul for a quick and full recovery. Before we know it he'll be back in the patch growing big pumpkins again... leaving us to wonder what's his secret to the growing them consistantly heavy.
