Has anyone ever used "haybale" wrap type white plastic over their newly set out cucumbers and such? If so when would it be safe to remove and expose plants to the elements? Last year, I lost most of my cucumber plants to what I believe is called sunscald. (The leaves turned dry and white)

I've used white plastic on the soil with plants on top so that they get more light reflected back on them reflects back heat too so soil stays cooler. Wrap is very thin and tacky on one side so that it sticks to itself and makes an airtight seal on the bale but if you have a free supply and as you know what it is you probably do,experiment and see how you get on.The rolls are quite narrow at 750mm thats the limiting thing.
