Found out today that my source water from the city has a pH of 5.8-6.2. Will this cause problems with my pH in the soil?

You should work to be right up there at or near 7.0 in the patch. Maybe a 7.1 -7.2 would be a better target for you against that water.
I think I would work like the devil to get the humis up using all the organic moves within my ability, apply lime to target PH and look for excellence within the total. You can't do much about the water. Popeye had it down pat.."She are what she are".
