I'm no math whiz so i need alittle help here. How do you convert quarts to acres down to "?" per 1000 square feet? Lets say a liquid fertilizer calls for 1 quart per acre...how much liquid would that be for a 1000 square foot patch? Thanks for the help.

1 acre equals 40000 sq ft just start cutting everything in half till you get down to 1000 sq ft

one acre equals 43,560 sq. ft.
one quart equals 192 tsp.
so a 1000 sq. ft. patch would need 1.469 Tblspoon or better rounded to 1.5 Tblspoon.

32 ounces divided by 43.56 = .734 ounces per 1,000 sq. ft. This might best be measured accurately with a medical syringe. .73 oz = 20.5 mls or cc's.
Shawn, What kind of "fertilizer" works at rates this low? I work for one of the largest fertilizer manufacturers in the world & I'm curious.

Steve,
I was just using the figures as an example. I was reading the label on my 2.5 gallon jug of Nutri-Cal and it said to apply 2 qts per acre per application. Just before flowering, second at fruit set and then every 7-10 days until harvest.

Steve,
P.S.... My patch is only 500 sq ft so i was trying to just get a break down on the amount of liquid. Thanks all for the help.
