Hi,
I got some cushaw seeds today. I was kind of wondering if I need to put quiet a bit of distance between them and the ags.

It's a kind of pumpkin or squash that is native to the south. Tom

They're another editable dipper type shape gourd that comes in different colors but are stripped most of the time. The vines look very similiar to that of a pumkin but are a little smaller.

I have never had a cushaw mix with any pumpkin or anything else. But i did plant a few rows of mixed gourds and got some pretty wierd combinations.

TAdams, I've heard that they're pumpkins and I heard somewhere else that they're a squash, but you know more on the subject than I do. Tom

They put cushaw into the pumpkin gel-like stuff that you buy at the store to make pumpkin pie.

Sorry Tom, I didnt mean to step on your explanation on what a cushaw was. Your post wasnt there when I clicked on the post reply button and I was having a hard time thinking of what to say a cushaw was. Your description was fine.

Tim,
Most of the cushaws that I can buy around here are all the golden cushaws.
Those things get pretty big you should try growing one using the same methods that we use on AG pumpkins... maybe you will grow a giant cushaw.
