I know there is some growers's association in Belgium. Last year, the official european weigthoff was in Belgium but I don't know where. I would like to have contact with them. Could you help me? Thanks in advance.

Sophie, this is the adress of Paul Boonen: http://users.belgacom.net/pompoenen/hoofditems/zaden.htm He had a 932 pound pumpkin in 2001. I tried to ask him for seeds but he never answered. Maybe you have more luck. The only "official" European weigh-off I know is in Switzerland. Not much is organized yet over here... Your seeds are in the mail.

floh: he answerd me. he sells the seeds from 932 for a price of 2,5 Euro per seed "The price of my pumpkin is 2.5 € for 1sead. When the pumpkin from these seeds not reach 200 Kg then you have another seed next year for free"
And he wrote that there is a growers club at Kasterlee called "pompoengenootschap Kasterlee"
hope that helps, Grégory

I'm sure that's just shipping and handling costs!

You´re right Alex. Besides, that is a very generous offer from him - you could pay 100$ without any grant. I never heard of such an offer before.

Thanks for the seeds, Ingo, I hope to receive them soon, and thanks for the adress. I have written to Paul Boonen, but ...no news... Sophie
