I couldn't find any offspring in AGGC of this pumpkin, and besides it was an amazing one and world record, it has the same cross than the 723 and 845. What happened with the 1131 Checkon 99 seeds? Aren't they good? Don

An old Post from Larry Checkon
If anyone out there has received seeds that are supposed to be 1131's, they are fakes. Let me say one more time, the world record 1131 pumpkin did not contain any mature seeds. There is a person or persons out there trading these to unsuspecting growers I would assume to gain better seeds in trade. I can not even imagine how someone could stoop so low as to cause another grower to waste an entire season growing a worthless seed. I already know one of one person responsible for this, if you have received any of these worthless seeds please email me privately.
