My 769 Wentzell is 2'6''(main vine) started about the 5th of may. And I have one about one inch tall that sprouted about an hour ago.

P.S. I kinda got a late start, but it is for Halloween so it should produce a pumpkin before then.

I am not sure what particular seed I have, because I bought them out of Gurney's Catalog, But I started them middle of April and my 1st plant is 3 1/2 ft long, and the 2nd one is only about 2 ft. The weather has been nice and warm so hopefully they will take off soon.

275 Desrosiers germinated 4/15 is about 15 feet long. 788.6 Dopp germinated 5/1 is about 4 feet long. We have had an unusual amount of rain so far this summer but fortunately we did not have the extended cold weather that some of you did.

I don't have any runners. The runners are coming but most are 12 to 14 inches from ground to tip. The high temps for 2 weeks until June 7 were between 54 and 65 degrees and plant growth was at a snails pace. The past 2 days had high temps of 70 degrees. This coming week we may see 80 degrees. I germinated the seeds on May 3. I'm not concerned as there is still time to have fruit to pollinate in the first 10 days of July.

Started my 896 Wells in the house in a coffee can on 5-3, transplanted outside under the cold frame on 5-13...it came along pretty nice considering the cold temps, and yucky weather we had here.......now that we're in the 80's, and 90's for a week straight, it seems to be growing about 4 inches a day! It's about 7ft long now.......amazing how think the vine is. Leaves are huge....bigger than any pumpkin plant i've ever seen, but since i'm a 1st year grower, i can say i've seen 'em all, ya know?! I have some big max, and commercial Atlantic Giant plants growing too, but they just look like "normal" small plants........haven't babied them at all like the 896 Wells. ( no cold frames, and no fertilizer) It does make a difference how you baby them, doesn't it!!
