We all know that burying the vines is good. Does it help to bury the entire stump/base of the plant? Does anyone tried this? Typically I start burying 1-2 feet away from the base where the vines first touch the ground.

Hello neighbor... I had to bury the stump a little (up to the seed leaves) this year on my 1026 Holland as it developed a small split from correcting its vine direction. I uncovered a small area around the split today (2 weeks later) and found roots growing in all directions from the covered area. Take care of the stump with soil and shade protection. P.s Brian you live close to me I'm just outside of Spokane in Airway Heights E-Mail me and lets share ideas...
