I started a couple of "Goliath" seeds to give to my next door neighbor. Two of the plants look pretty normal/average but the third one is a monster, the cotyledon leaves are literally 2.75 inches wide and 4 inches long. The third true leaf is opening today, and I am very curious about this plant. The seed pushed through the surface (peat pot) about 5 days ago and the plant has been growing at an alarming rate (to me any how). Does anyone know the genetics?

I have 2 plants with gaint cotyledon pedals. Both came from different seeds so I figured it might be true about what they say about the miracle grow potting soil..hehe..I named one of them gumbo..

I had a plant last year with the same characteristics and with out any special attention, pruning, fertilizing,or even weeding it grew a 100lbs pumpkin.
