this is my first year growing large pumpkins so i do not know how fast they should grow. my plants are about a month old and are only on the 3-4th leaf. is this normal?? it seems they are slow growing.

You didn't say, but I assume your plants are growing outside. If not, they should be! If they are outside,and kept warm enough, it could well be that they are busy growing roots! It won't be long before they blast off and grow in an unbridled fashion! You may, at one point, wish that they didn't grow so fast!

thanks, ya they are outside. temps are around 70. i a feeding 10-15-10 for root growth. this ought to be fun. im sure my girlfriend will get a laugh.

my 649 dills were the same, they started of slowly and they are huge now ( my girlfriend thinks I've gone pumpkin crazy )
