I like to use kids play sand. Only problem is getting it out of the sandbox without the kids catching me. Paul

I use a big flat piece of styrofoam underneath my pumpkin, which also keeps it dry. Just got to make sure the styrofoam is big enough so the pumpkin has room to grow on it. ~Monica
