To me this is an event that rivals the best of the weigh offs. You get to meet and talk to most every Heavy Hitter out there. Rubbing elbows with the elite of pumpkins is something you will never forget. And the best thing is, you'll find out they are just like you and me.
This year will be my 5th year attending, and I do look forward to this, more and more each year.
I can tell you about highlights from every year, but the ones that really have made a mark in my memory are from the first year I attended.
I was sitting at a table talking to Deb and Randy Sundstrom and a gentleman tapped me on the shoulder, I turned around, and this gentleman introduced himself to me, it was Charlie Houghton. The same person that had broken the World Record with his 1337. and he actually talked to me.
The other next great moment for me was when I was introduced to Howard Dill, very humbling for me, but a treasured memory.
So if your sitting on the fence as to weather you should attend or not, Trust me, if you choose to attend, you will be glad you did.
