The Tropical Monsoon brought exceptionally heavey rainfall resulting in floods in Malaysia last week. 21 people died and 30 thousand were made homeless. Seven of my newly planted pumpkins were destroyed. Another three are badly damaged. Yesterday, I spent a few hours manually washing each of the damaged leaves, hoping that they might survive. That's my love for plants. The vine are covered with a layer of mud. The weather forcast says that the Monsoon season will continue for the next few days. Even as the Weather Watchers meet in Bali, neighbouring Malaysia and Thailand are flooded. Let us stay close with nature and save our planet. Durai

The plants will make a come back...I have seen them shredded by hail..two weeks later the patch has recovered.
