I recieved a seed request from a German woman this morning, but the thing I found interesting was that she included an email with some big pumpkin website. Anyone know German and canread it? Is this a by product of this fabulous website? The name is very close, that is why I ask?

It is their own website which originally had a German name. It has nothing to do with this site.
At the moment they have about 250 members from many European countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Belgium and Holland.
I joined the site recently. I can read German more or less but post in English.

Yep, it is a website for german speaking pumpkin growers and has nothing to do with this site. We have got grower diaries as well where we have the chance to post in german. The link you posted is the diary from Joannis Höllein. I met him in august on my patchtour - great guy!
All pumpkin growers round the world are welcome. Perhaps there are more german speaking guys out there?

I want to give all of the credit to Carsten Becker for bringing this site to life. It has enabled hundreds of growers in the german speaking community to come together.
The website compared to Ken and Johns is in its infancy, but the growers are just as fanatic as any grower that visits this site.
I have spent many hours and invested manuy dollars to help Carsten and all other growers that visit this site get started.
My only request of the English speaking community is that you understand they can not always explain themselves as good as Raimund or Heino, but they are just as serious about our hobby as anyone else.
Thanks Rocky for posting, gave me a chance to give a round of applause to Carsten Becker, and some publicity to the site.
regards, owen
