Wiz,
Hi! Our neighborhood has a Halloween party/event and we would like to add to it a pumpkin growing contest, I of course am to chair this event. Would you specify a specific kind of pumpkin? If so what? is Halloween too late? What rules would you think would be good? Remember we are in Kansas, and I have a 3/4acre yard, but most of my neighbors (I live in a small Victorian inner city neighborhood) are half the size of mine....
I think it will be fun, and hopefully the adults and kids alike will get a kick out of it.

Well of course you must grow Atlantic Giant Pumpkins, beautiful round orange ones, great big heavy ugly ones, white ones and green ones....give prizes for the prettiest, heaviest, ugliest, have the crowd choose your winners.....Email me I have seeds for all of the above......and am happy to help out your event.....sounds like a great time!
