just wanted to announce that as of today we are already over the 50 package sngpg seed sale and club promo limit
unfortunately for some of you we will not be able to honor your returns.
we will have the lottery draw on 12-22 as steve announced in his email to our membership. any member checks already in the mail will be added to the draw listing.
members who did got get the draw will be refunded their money. will advise
sorry we could not get a 100 package promo like last year but when your asking the top growers in the world for 50 seeds thats donation enough
next year im going to explore a promo program that will not cause us to eliminate some of our loyal members. possibly two seperate fifty seed promo offers.
im also thinking out loud that those not selected should be on a prefered list for next year. then autiomaticly have the option to buy before the promo is announced via email confirmation during winter of 2008?

RDY-B So is this the same promo that they are talking about being sold out already? Did you get your SNGPG newsletter for this year? Or last year? Maybe there are no e-mail addresses for us, so they sent a post card out but it reaches us 7 to 8 days after it is mailed out and we just haven't got them yet.

I know that we have received the 2006 SNGPG news letter when we signed up but we have not had any e-mails from them since that day, however we did get the mailed version of the 2007 newsletter just the other day. How about you RDY-B?

Yes we are at a disadvantage with the east coast west coast mail delivery. Perhaps they had a computer problem and lost some e-mail info. I know we did have virus issues at work that did create a few problems for us. I wish you good luck and maybe you'll make the lottery draw on the 22nd of this month. We really like the info in the newsletter and are already set for seeds this year from the many generous growers that sent us some. Still we can always hope for next year!! Good luck for the lottery drawing and we'll e-mail you to see how you did!

I recieved the email last saturday or sunday evening and the check was in the mail Monday morning. I procrastinated and the day after I sent payment there was an announcement posted that they were sold out. I didn't want that to happen again this year so I was on the ball. i hope I am lucky enough to get pulled out of the hat.
Pap I think the idea you have for next year about the members who sent in and missed out get first dibbs next year is a good one. If I get this package I won't need any next year.

So, If you are a current member and want to have a chance at this package there should be no reason not to send in your check as they will be drawing 50 envelopes??? I might be wrong but that's what I've heard. After that let the Trading begin!!! I just hope Frank is helping out and draws my name.. lol

NOOOO!! Don't send in any more checks! That will decrease my chances. LOL Just kidding. Get those checks in there now!! Last year, even though I didn't make the deadline, Ron and Pap still sent me a few VERY good seeds to plant. A stand up bunch of peoples. If there was anyone who received a disadvantage I am confident all measures will be taken to correct the situation.

if anyone had a problem with anything to do with the sngpg there is enought contact information in our past newsletters to get your concerns answered.
regarding no email, newsletters or post cards i will say again, if anyone was or is a present member of the sngpg we would have been glad to offer an explaination to you, or look into your complaint. if we dont know its broke we cant fix it.
many members dont realize that their address change or email change, even membership dues, sometimes never get to us, which could also explain why some dont get newsletters when they think they should.
we are an all volunteer directorship that will at times have errors. in spite of all this i believe we offer quality and quantity in all our newsletter ,emails and promotional offers.
perhaps all the complaints could have been avoided had i not been so intent on passing information back to our membership via this post
ill know better next time
thanks

If your a member and did not receive your newsletter during the year or periodic emails, all you had to do was contact pap or Ron. I was not receiving my newsletter and email them and was corrected immediately. I'm in Canada so this East West, North South thing is way out of line. Also to post it openly, is hardly fair since you did not give them a chance to fix it. There is a right way to address concerns. The SNGPG is one of the best, if not the best club out there, I have learned more in two years from their newsletters and from Ron and Pap then I have from any other club. And the information has been top rate. Again another reason why HH stop posting, Ron and Pap go above and beyond, try to be fair and still get accused unfairly.

Drew is exactly right. The two guys above that spent several posts complaining just spent about 10 times more effort to complain than it would have taken to send Pap or one of the other SNGPG people a short e-mail letting them know you aren't receiving your e-mails and newsletters. How would they know you are receiving it if you don't let them know???

Apparently there are some people out there that may be confused about what my posts were actually saying. Let's not try to turn this into something it is not.
First of all, I was trying to find out if it was the same seed sale.
Second, I was trying to find out if another SNGPG member in my area had received any other e-mails or information other than what we had received.

Third, since we had received the mailed version of the newsletter seven to 8 days later than other people on the east coast that had posted on here that they had just received it on a certain day(hence answering the "EAST COAST WEST COAST DISAVANTAGE IN MAIL DELIVERY" as it is posted above) we assumed that we were still in their information bank so there would have been no reason to contact them about a problem. I had made NO other reference to east coast west coast other than MAIL DELIVERY and there could be some of you that may have misunderstood this. Oh, yeah, we also were letting another local grower know about a meeting we heard about here on BP.com that was in our area but did not know when this meeting was.

Fouth and finally, we really did enjoy the correspondence in the BP.com community. To answer about "posting it openly"....The information about this sale/promo was posted in the same format that we were trying to find out about it being the same one that was also posted openly. It was not in the newsletter that we did receive so we did not know if the post was the only information about it.
Pap,
I am sorry this ended up this way. Please don't stop posting information on this site about the SNGPG functions because of my post. If you did not post the information that you did on here, we would not have even known that there was a problem and were not receiving e-mail because we were accidentally omitted from the email lists. Perhaps others will have the same problem and will handle it in a more favorable way.
We did not know to contact anyone because we did not know there was a problem. We did get the latest newsletter but there was no mention of a seed sale or promo in it so we did not know about it other than your post regarding it here on BP.com!

We love the work you do and never said or wrote anything that could be remotely thought of differently in any way shape or form. Other people would have probably handled this inquiry as to whether or not this was the same sale/promo differently and for the members and directors of the SNGPG that we offended, I am very sorry. We did not intend to have ANYONE interpet what we said differently from what we thought we wrote. I have read the other posts and feel that others as well may be offended. Please understand this was not my intention and I am sorry. I am truely amazed at how the written word can be seen in many different ways. I will no longer post to this site or any other so there are no more misunderstandings regarding me, my intentions, or my posts.
For those of you that still may be confused, this is an apology to the SNGPG it's Directors, members and anyone offended or upset in thinking we were "bashing" an organization and individuals that do nothing but good in all communities. It was not the intended case.
Grow well and good luck to all!
