I have a seed here that I am not exactly sure of and am hoping someone here can help me identify this seed. A very kind member sent this seed to me last year, along with several others. :ThankYOU: The seed has written in red ink on one side 275 and VAN on the other. I have done as much research as I can on this seed and have narrowed it down to the possibility of it being either a:
275 VanHook or a 275 Vanderpool
The chances that both of these seed have this writing on it are slim to none, so I am hoping someone else has it in their collection and can correctly identify this seed for me. Thank you Duane .

I have some 275 van hook seeds at home but I am not sure about any writing on them. I will take a look later today. Maybe John will see this and let you know.

In black it should say 275 Van Hook and on the otherside in red the seed number. If that is the way yours is, lock it up in a safe place until planting time.

My 275 VanHook 06 seed says 275 VanHook in red, and a # on the other side in black. 275 VanHook is 1443 Palmer x 1407 Wolf. It grew a 1394 #er in KY this year...by Billy Burton. Peace, Wayne

I was mistaken about the ink color. Black ink 275 on one side VAN on the other with no numbers. Must be a Vanderpool. The seed is also smaller than most I have seen but fairly thick.

Bill Van Iderstine used to mark his seeds with the pumpkin weight on one side, and Van on the other side. Not sure, but I believe it's been a few years since he's sent out seeds though.
