looking over results this year 1 grower and his wife had 1527 and 1537 hard to believe they didnt get state record. some tough compitition in that area of country.still a remarkable achievement no one else has grown 2

There are very few weigh offs that you can grow 2 pumpkins over 1500 lbs and end up not winning any of them, I think this kinda took the spot light away from Dave's great accomplishments growing 2 over 1500lbs this year. Hes definitely one of the best in my book.

Don i could not agree more.

Dave lives ,eats and breaths giant pumpkins. He set a world record several years back then had to settle for several years of average results. But he kept on going. Now ? Hes back and in a big way.

Dave kept driving and pushing until he and his wife got back into the inner circle of championship quality growers.

Great job by our good friends Dave and Carol Stelts.

Good wrods Don. Dave was so busy trying to get due diligence for all of the 1600+ pounders that the Stelt's didn't get much time to bask in much of their own glory.

Congratulations to Carol & Dave on an amazing accomplishment!!!

TWO OVER 1500 IS UTTERLY AMAZING & very little has been said about it.

Thank all of you for the encouraging words, it had been a long 7 years to get a personal best. I guess if you have to wait that long you might as well do it right LOL!!!
