To all the seasoned growers out their...can a few of you Please write about experiences of planting seeds from different geographic areas? ie.....what kind of results did you have planting a seed from Arizona in Maine? Did the plant grow allright, did it produce decent fruit?etc.etc....
Does it matter where the seeds are grown as far a temperature tolerance? Any input would be appreciated Thanks Bumkin

A quick look at the state records should provide some info...

Well, I guess I'll take a stab at this one...
One seed *might* be more heat tolerant than another. Then again the heat tolerance might be something else entirely. I would guess that heat tolerance might be even more difficult to pinpoint than color.
But,... just planting a seed once does nothing to "naturally select" a certain trait, genetically. If you stayed with a certain seed stock for 20 years or 100 years, starting with one seed and then each year picking out your best growing plants or fruits, and continuing the next year with those... over time you might be successful in selecting certain genes you are interested in.
