The clone train is booked full of passengers for this year. Those growers who contacted me will be soon contacted to schedule a date to get their Scherber plant sent to them. There are roughly 14 people involved from coast to coast in this project now.
At this time, I am sorry to say that those people who already reserved a clone will be the only ones I'll be able to send one out to from this point on. If someone changes their mind, I'll post a message and let someone get that clone. If there are no changes though, then those wanting in on this experiment will need to wait until next season, as I will only have enough to send out to the 14 people I promised a plant to. Yes folks...the clone train is ready for departure...All Aboard!

Hay Madman!!! I managed to get my misting system together, and spread out a some gypsum over the Clones patch yesterday. the weather had been nice 57 deg. now it's snowing!!! I just bought new hoop house PVC and 8 mill plastic covering for the green houses wich will be 16'x 16' as well as new soaker hoses. I will be ready to set the babies out May 1, 2001. I am also going to again try my experiment of spectral energy distribution, using incandescent (infrared) heat lamps, and orange colored matterials around my plants to manipulate photoperiodism and fool the plants into thinking they are realitivly free of competitors. I have found a vast amount of research as far back as 1959 regaurding photochrome, plants, and spectral energy sensitivity to light waves in the near and far red spectrum, that are KNOWN to enhance growth. basicaly it goes like this, orange colors which reflect red light, but not much far red cause plants to build strong roots, while darker red, and greens will trick your plants into putting more energy into aboveground growth and ripening fruit. I have volumes on the subject I just don't know how to scan it and attach the "good stuff" to this reply. Anyhow I am definatly hyped about growing a Madman Clone! Until then Brother keep up the hard work.... Gadberry

Madman!

I, too, am anxiously awaiting my passenger on the "Clone Train"! Just for fun, in what states will the train be making stops?

First off; Gads...I'll be sending you a scanner along with the clone [LOL}. You might consider writing an article on that subject, similar to the clone one I wrote. These are by far advanced growing topics, but knowledge you have that may help other growers enhance their potentials!
Ok; Kilr...I am about to e mail everyone with an update. I've been getting real busy with the yard care services here, as it suddenly got wet after the permafrost thawed, and everyone wants stuff done all at once. Top off the time needed to get these clones ready, and I am streched to the limit, time wise! Wondering how to get the garden tilled!

Hay Fearless leader, "MADMAN", I have a brand new scanner, 900 meg. computer, and a great new camera... I just don't know how to make all this stuff work yet... However my girlfriend is a wizard at computer technology, that is the reason I'm able to talk with you... Be patient I'm still learning. P.S How are the "Babies" coming along? I almost have their cribs ready!!!
