I have decided to grow 4 plants on my 1st try. I also decided to plant in my sunnier backyard rather than my semi shaded garden I always use ,this leaves my garden open for the usualplants but I was wondering what could cross pollinate with the AG's. I don't know if I will be on top of the hand pollinating game this 1st year. Jeff

other pumpkins, i think just the giant varietys, big max, prize winner, zuccini too, im really not shure, i let the bees do it for me one year and i planted the seeds from the pumpkin from the last year and that year i got about 4 different pumpkins and squashes from one seed, so i have chosen to do the pollinating myself, those bees just get around too much, buisy bees! ~Bill

if you can hand pollinate so you can try and control positive traits like color i cover the young buds with cheesecloth to prevent bees from giving me an unknown cross (both male and female flowers) i've heard of other people useing pantyhose pollination has more effect on what the pumpkins will be like from the seeds inside your growing fruit than on the growing fruit
