Please keep answers informative and on topic.

What is the air temperature where your patch is when...
1 - plant first hits the patch soil?
2 - first flowers appear?
3 - pumpkin is growing best?
4 - pumpkin stops growing?

Do you use any temperature modifying structures or methods(air or ground)?

If yes,...
5 - which do you use?
6 - when and how long are they used?
7 - how does it affect the temperatures?

Here's my average tempurature on the stated dates from the last three years. Mind you this is not the high or the low but a weighted average to what the temp. was that day.
1- April 29th, 51 degrees
2- June 29th, 64 degrees
3- August 1st, 67 degrees
4- ? they are still growing at harvest 9/29
5,6- yes
spring hoophouse 16'x20' these stay up until mid June
fall the entire plant of the best prospects are completly covered. These are up from late August until harvest.
7- they begin warming the moment they are up and quite the moment they are taken down.

Average temps.

1 - May 1 - 52 °F / 11 °C
2 - June 7 - 74 °F / 23 °C
3 - Aug. 7 - 80 °F / 26 °C
4 - Sep 14 - 63 °F / 17 °C

5 - 5'x5'x5' Hoop houses - electric heaters with digi. therm.

6 - June 1 - 78 °F / 25 °C...open frequently, leave the frame up but switch to plastic that only covers the top. Protects stump from hail rain...allows me to bury stump and not worry about it getting wet and rotting.

7 - I pretty much keep the plant in an air temp of 70 F until June 1 to be safe. Works very well for me.

I don't have such accurate details, but take Brian's numbers and add 3 to 5 degrees for me. I also try to protect with cloches in the spring, but I live just northeast of a mountain range, and the winds come whipping and batter just about anything I try to build.

I tend to be more concerned about overnight lows. If the highs are in the 80's here, overnight will drop to the 50's. If we're in the 90's, usually overnight temps will stay above 60. It's not uncommon to have a 40 degree swing, day to night.
