That's too bad. I had only limited contact with him through email, but I could tell how enthusiastic he was about pumpkins and his site. There's even a picture of his pumpkinmobile on the website for their weighoff.

I am so sorry. I talked with Steve a few times on the phone and he always gladly made time to talk pumpkins! In person his devotion to giant pumpkin growing was catching. I know that his family was also involved in putting on the Paso Robles contest and my heart goes out to them. God Bless you, Steve and your family. Michelle

I am sorry to here about his passing. I met him at the weigh off that was fantastic. He really had it set up really good.I even got to help with it some.He will be missed. I just wished he could have been around longer so I had a chance to get know him and his family better. My prayers go out to his wife and daughter that I did get to meet too. Steve was one of a kind.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Steve Peterson. Steve was a great guy and a huge booster for giant pumpkin growing. He made everyone feel welcome at Paso Robles, and put on a 1st class event. The sport will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
