This may seem like a silly question but do they have guards for the pumpkins sitting in times square? How do they keep people from stealing the seeds? Congrats again to those growers and have a happy Halloween everyone

The pumpkins were never out of our site. I was personally there for most of the time & to watch our driver Julio reloading the truck. We had curbside passes & could have left. The ABC guards seemed trustworthy but my legs have been acting up so "standing guard" was no big deal. LOL

The freaks on the street are strange but none appeared to be pumpkin marauders.

People in NYC don't need pumpkin seeds, last time I checked concrete doesn't have all the nutrients needed for growing big pumpkins anyways.

Ive actually been trying to get NY Botanical Gardens to grow AGs for years but so far no takers.

Downtown where the pnkins were is not all that unsafe for a city (or NYC in the 70s). People are pretty nice believe it or not. Just curious.
