lol... it's never to early to start planning. I'll plant a 695 Handy and 840 Parks for sure. If I can't find a 1354, I'll plant a 1469 Checkon as well. I'm also hoping to plant a 1445 Marsh (1407x695) and 1631 McKie next year, but I need to speak to the growers.

I have five patches to fill with possibly a 6th. Two are taken for sure with my two favorite Wallace seeds. I will wait to see if I make the SNGPG seed promo and what kind growers will offer me before deciding on the rest. One of the seeds I did have in mind is the Bosworth 1407.5 1068 X Wallace X Self. ;)
BTW, I have a couple good pics of you and your pop from the OVGPG weigh off. Check out the OVGPG weigh off thread in the pumpkin forum.

Tremendous possibilities from all the great seeds and growers out there. Of the new 2007 produce the following make my want list.
1402.5 Bosworth How do you get one of these?
1662 Young 1207 Young 1194 Christen 1101 Carter 1003 Marsh 968 Carter 901 Hunt
How is that for a wish list. That is the easy part. Now how to get the seeds. My wife needs some Christmas ideas.

I have no clue! I dedicate the dark winter months to figuring it out. I know that I'll grow my own seed for the first time (983.5 Isom and maybe 937.5 Isom)and I'm going to have to make a tough decision concerning my dedication to growing only orange pumpkins. If I stick with my goal of growing orange, here it is: 707 Toftness (846X723) 1248 Ford (sorry, can't quite remember cross, but lots of 846 and 723) 955 Brinkley (1180X1370)if I don't start worrying that it will split on me 983.5 Isom (1370X1225) 395 Isom (955X998.6) 937.5 Isom (1446.5X998.6) 1257 (or something like that) Hester (898X845) 1348 Hester ((1370 X 1068)
If I give up on orange, I might have to grow that 1104 Hester that's been cooling it's heels in my freezer for four and a half years since Daletas's 1370.5 weighed 20% heavy--wow. I'd also try the 1370.5 and Thad Starr's two biggest pumpkins, which are reverse crosses: 1524 Starr = 227 Leland (723X1370) X 985 Werner (1370X898)and 1350.5 Starr = 985 Werner X 227 Leland--I hope I got that right, Thad!
Here's to dreaming about "the big one!"

Im defiantly growing the 805 Pukos again, a 1450 Wallace and the 1402.5 Bosworth(they have my pumpkin listed wrong in the GCP AS A 1407.5)
Id like to grow one of Joe Jutras 998 x 1068 cross's and a Pukos 998 cross from this year as well. Id also like to grow a Don Young 1662( 1068 X Sib),,*cough* You hear that Don? LOL. 'Got Stelts?'' has a good seed from his 904 Stelts 06 pumpkin that grows em heavy that I wouldn't mind putting in the dirt. And also a Mckie seed would be a good one to plant and it dont matter which Mckie seed, they all grew huge and all had excellent crosses.
Bunch of seeds to choose from this year that's for sure.

I think i am going to go green next year. One orange (regular) and one green. The 881 Beauchimin. I dont have room for one pumpkin so i am going to grow two. The first seeds i ever got were from Jim Beauchimin. One was from his green 881. So next year, out of respect, i am going to grow it. I think it will be cool too! I hope i do it some justice.

OK Brooks. Have been reading this post long enough and feel the need to respond. Here it is(tentative):
1662 Young 985 Werner 664.5 Liggett 993.5 Gerchy Three as yet undecided, depending upon Don's generosity and a couple of growers as well. Have some old time selfs that I need to decide upon such as the 723 and 842...Damn....I love the off-season.
