I have 800sq feet space. I added lime per my soil test for ph. I tilled 6 yards of manure. Now the question is should I plant a cover crop of winter rye or wait and add ground maple leaves. The leaves are from my own tree so I know where they are comming from. I'm just wondering what I would benefit more from. Any suggestion please. Thanks Bob

bob id mix the maple leaves in with some manure and build a small compost pile ( mix occasionally while you can and once it frezes id cover with a tarp to help keep it cooking a bit ). by spring the leaves should be black and ready to mix into your soil cover crop lightly for winter then till leaf compost and rye together in spring a light ampount of leaf compost will do fine because you already added manure ,etc, this fall pap
