Well Duncan asked for it, and now he got what he asked for. The longest standing state record on the books is no longer! The new New Jersey record now offically stands at 919 pounds set by the 919 Wetzel 07 today at the SJ Pumpkin show. It may not be the world record but it is a start!!

Actually it wasn't Duncan I was referring to who set the record, he just made mention last week that the record had stood for so long.

The growers name is Andrew Wetzel. He lives in Millville NJ which is also the city where the SJ Pumpkin show is held. The 919 was grown from a 355 Wetzel 06 seed (817 Novak 05 X 344 Wetzel 05). This is his 3rd year growing competively.
