Every fall part of my patch gets covered in falling, dead pine needles. So far I have always raked them out of the patch. Do dead pine needles do good or bad things to the soil?

anywhere I read says pine needles are high in acid and are not very good, ever notice that nothing grows under pine trees. I think in small doses there is nothing to worry about just get rid of what u can

ditto on what cotterpins said, but I say you should just cut down the tree!
