My 1011 was grown from our own 522 seed, also was given the Howard Dill award for the Pumpkin My daughter Jennifer's pumpkin was DQed for a tiny hole in a rib line, it's weight was 917 also grown from our own seed the 792 Z Congrats to Don, he's a great grower and I enjoy competing against him. I'll take second place to him anyday. Also congrats to Allan for first place in the squash. Again a great guy and deserving of the win Eddy

Congrats to everyone, what a great turnout.
Great job on the squash Alan, I must agree with Eddy, could not happen to a nicer guy. Hope you enjoyed the day with your family...you should travel in BC more often.

This was a great day for pumpkin growers in Alberta. 2 pumpkin over 1000 lbs at Smoky. Amazing, and by two great growers and really nice guys. It was great to see Eddy, Don, Cameron and others. We need to find out a way to get together for more than a couple of hours once a year.
It's funny, before the weighoff I was looking for a way to unload the squash on someone so I wouldn't have to carve it on Halloween. It's now on a pallet in my garage waiting for the 31st. Gotta carve the winner. Alan
