Tonight all over the country you could hear the snip snip snip of main vines being cut from the giant fruit, you could hear the moans and groans of men lifting, the tinkle and clang of the lifting ring and loud hum of a forklift. You could feel the tension and relief on the growers face as they examined the underside of all their labor. You could hear the crack of a beer can and the laughter of the folks gathered after all the hard work was done. Later tonight, you will hear the tossing and turning of many who are filled with anticipation of what's to come tomorrow. Tomorrow, The Weigh Off....for some, their first, for others, they have been doing it for years. Where ever you are, or no matter how many times you've been there, this is what we have been working for. Good Luck Everyone!

Thanks for that CityGirl, it was great! I'm all excited to go to weigh off again. This is only my second trip so it's still all new to me. Wished I had a bigger prize winning pumpkin to take, but I did my best this year fighting vine borers and all kinds of weather, and an especially dry season. This is where the truth comes out and loads of anticipation here too. I know I need sleep and it's already hard to think about it, but, it will be a FUN day tomorrow. Can't wait.
