I was just checking the 2000 Topsfield results. The first place pumpkin came in at 1009.6 pounds, and finishing in 26th place with a 560.8 pound entry was...you gueseed it...Joe Jutras!

It is true Joe Jutra has been competing at Topsfield for the past ten years. The fact that his goal has been unwavering and steady throughout that time is vary inspiriting to me. He is a fierce competitor, a gentle man, and a great friend.
