The winner gets $6 lbs. This is big money.. Half Moon Bay pays $5 lbs to the winner. Guys & Gals do the math. I have heard that Joe Holland (He has won Half Moon Bay the last 3 years that's worth what $18,000) I brought some of he's tape's, I guess my question is this, most of the really good growers are willing to trade information, secret's, soil prep, tapes, how whatever. If you live on the east Coast and I live on the West Coast please tell me what you know I'm not driving 3500 miles to complete , maybe 1600 but not 3500.
I live in this county and I would love to complete. I would love your help from growers that are willing to tell all.

Paso Robles, Calif. What a nice place. It is also home of one of the greatest car shows in the country, if you are into rods, classics, customs, rat rides and lead sleds this place rocks. This show attracts many famous people. Wish the pumpkin event and car event were put together, now that would be a show I could not miss for sure, and no doubt I would drive cross country to see it, as I do for the car show alone.Happy Weighing...JK

I forgot to say, I just rec'd "How to Grow World Class Giant Pumpkins Vol II" and I'm learning alot. Next yr will be my first time to grow. You'll need to start preparing your soil now! Lots of people on this site have been very helpful, just ask a question and you're sure to get answers!!
