Late last night the phone rang & my wife answered. An hour later she struck out alone in the hopes of seeing her mother before she passed.

We never expected it to go this way.

The loss of a parent is so hard, so many memories and so much love. I miss my Mother every single day. I want to say that this is going to be ok, but it really is going to take some time. Just remember the love, the good times, the hugs, and even the bad times. Time is standing still for you right now, as the world keeps going. Take the time to listen to the stories you will hear about your Mother,so many people will have a story to tell. Your "every day" will never be the same, but you will be better because of your Mother and all that she gave to you.

Hi Guys; This is Steve's wife Lorraine. I have read each and every word of all your condolences and want to say - Thank You! You don't know how much all of them mean to me in this trying time. Everyone of you in this Pumpkin Community has given so much to Steve. Those shared words that you each write, it is a book of never ending value all around, that you all should be proud of. Today will be the hardest, as we say our final goodbyes. One thing my mother had kept all these years and that never was taken from her, for she always kept it hidden away from my sister's greedy hands; was a red valentines card I made her over 38 years ago. I knew she kept this not just for herself, but for me when she died - I think she knew I would find it. It is the only thing of material that I have. A big red heart to rememeber her by.
Thank you all again for your kind words and all who represent this site. You are wonderful! Lorraine
