Hi
Last night a creature decided to knaw the main stem on my best pumpkin. The was about 24 inches out from the fruit.I carefully put it back together, cleaned and added fungicide, then taped it.
Will it at least provide enough juice to hold it to upcoming weighoffs? Like in 2-3 weeks?
Ideas
Suggestions?

If the vine was not completely severed you may be ok. Just keep it dry. I would trim the follage to let the sun in arond the break and consider puting a little roof over the break if it is going to rain.

any sides off the good part of the main before and after the fruit will supply enough energy to finish the season

we grew for most of the season once on a plant with no main before the fruit (just after ) from first of august on
