I'll disagree roots..tubers are storage area's of a plant and can be dug and replanted.

I've had some odd growth on my plant this year that looks like a ball/clump of twisted/deformed vine/leaf growth that emerges (or partially emerges) from buried vines and a tertiary emerges from it. The whole clump & tertiary is easily twisted off and removed without even cutting it. I presume this would have been normal tertiary growth if I had not buried it before pinching. Is this what you are seeing? Frank

The guys in the band used to smoke tubers all the time. Second hand smoke gave me a headache.

Yup, that glob is normal tertiary growth. I get this on my plants every so often after everything is terminated. It must be the plants way of trying to be reproductive and put out more blossoms.

Tim, this is what I get also. Same thing. Just a burried tertiary that is trying to work it's way to the surface. It end up as a mutant glob of junk. Big white ball with leaves / etc.
