two holes at the base of the stem came out of nowhere yesterday on my pumpkin. my vine has slack and doesnt appear or feel tight. i dried the opening as best as i could and put a little expandable foam in each dime sized crack/hole. the next day i was feeling like i didnt dry it enough and thought i should pull the foam out clean/disinfect and let dry out. i never checked if the hole went all the way through. after prying the foam out of one of the holes i could see that a piece of expandable foam was still in there. now i have a problem when i try to determine if the hole goes all the way through cause i dont know if it is foam or pumpkin im hitting with whatever probing tool im using. does this make sense. can any one give me some advice? will i be able to enter the pumpkin into a weigh off? thank you
