Ben, Elk Grove will have probably the most entries of any of the california weigh offs. You JUST have to be there! and bring the family too as there will be live music, craft fair, petting zoo, some rides for the kids, etc. alot of fun! see you there...the glasiers

The Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Contest & Harvest Festival is put on by the Consumnes Community Service District. They have about 10,000 visitors over the 2 day period. The entry forms have not been mailed yet. To see pic.& list of last year winners go to www.yourcsd.com/events/harvest. or google Elk Grove Harvest Festival. Weigh off is Sat. Oct. 6th Get there early growers start geeting there betweet 6;30-7:00. There is a pancake breakfast that morning.

suzy...i think the pancake breakfast is a thing of the past. last year we were all there early and ...no breakfast. we were the first in line when the food booths opened for lunch! this year we will make sure to have something to eat before we head to the weigh off! we checked the entry form and no word about the breakfast. see you there "pretty early"...after our stop at starbucks. cindi
