Our County Fair weigh-off is Sept. 11 here in Santa Cruz, California. We are planning on taking our 1502 Wallace pumpkin and our 983 Pukos too. Let's hope they all hold together until then. - Kristine and Riley (Creek and son)

Hi Creekside..... Elk grove weigh off is supposed to be saturday october 6th. we still have not received any entry form but i think that is the date. Half Moon Bay is Oct 8th.....Oct 13 Usugi Farms weigh off in Morgan Hill....Oct 20 Borchard's in Salinas (again, no entry form as of yet) and OCT 20th in your backyard is a new weigh off in paso Robles!!!!!!!!! Auburn usually has a weigh off too but i do not know of the date as of yet. California has a ton of great weigh offs. we are very lucky! now...if we just have a bunch of big pumpkins! good luck! hope to see you at one or more of the weigh offs. cindi and pete

Who's handling the weigh-off in Paso Robles? My roommate from college runs the family ranch there and I graduated from Cal-Poly.

What if you have only two pumpkins. Can you take them to your county fair and then take the same ones to other weigh offs?

Puter,
Riley and I will be answering questions on how to grow giant pumpkins and giving away AG seeds at the Santa Cruz County Fair on 9/11 from 4-5pm and Saturday 9/15 form 12-1pm and 4-5pm. It's a fun fair and great for kids. Hope you make it...make sure to introduce yourselves. - Kristine and Riley
PS Has anyone ever given away seeds before at a county fair? I'm not sure how many to bring.

Creekside,
We would have a hard time getting there on 9/11 but will be there on Sat 9/15 for sure!! We did ok so far this year, only lost one so far that stopped growing at 12 lbs.
We are officialy hooked and will continue every year. See you and Riley on the 15th!!!
