Yeah I wish we could help and take a bit of that wet stuff that falls from the sky. Its been about 100 degrees everyday here and not a drop of water. I think my plants have had enough of the heat.

I think it rained every day last week and this week. It rained early yesterday but the Sun came out after 9AM. Again, rained last night and the Sun came up at 6:30AM. If this keeps up, we'll be bringin pumpkins to the weigh-off by dingy (in my case) and barge (in George and Gene's case)!

The moment the sun comes out and dries up the patch, it storms again. This morning I had standing water (again) in the patch. Better the patch then my basement.

I've had about 6" the past week. NO sun. Patch is like a sponge and I already lost 3 plants to pythium. Forecast isn't looking real great for sun either. Oh and we are getting another 1-2" today :)

Power is out all over the Chicago area. I have never seen trees blown over like this. I live in the North West burbs of Chicago and trees are down everywhere. More water than i have seen in the last 2/3 weeks too. I am typing this from work, which has power for now.
My plants got destroyed last night from the wind (70+mph winds). They are a mess.

Dave-
I am so sorry the wind tore up your garden. I am glad to hear you are okay, though. I hope everyone else is.
