Hello, I was wondering what to do. On the stem side of my pumpkin equally all side are these many small cracks in the skin like a finger nail width. We have had 9 inhes of rain last 10 days or so. It is covered with a tarp. Stem is fine. I thought of painting captan to sites but wanted more imput. Thanks in advance. Tim

That is normal, it is called cantalouping. Your pumpkin is starting to show its age.

Bortner is right, my 1180 did the same thing but never presented a problem. The cracks are weeping take some Captan powder (dry) and apply in the cracks. At least that should take care of any disease getting in there but you are fine.
