I am pretty sure one of my pumpkins has stopped growing. It has a huge crack in the vine right next to the stem. I am still measuring it--just to be sure. I have no problem leaving it there. My question is when do I know to take it off the vine? Any clues? I don't want to leave it there and then suddenly discover it is starting to rot.
