Its great to get the results from the weigh offs on here but if you remember please try to list the seed it was grown of. Not knowing the seed is kinda like eating ceral with out the milk,lol.

Good idea Brooks. It drives me crazy to see the results without the hierarchy details. I know that 90% of the weigh-offs don't make the crosses public on weigh-off day but getting the top 10 isn't hard even at a lame weigh-off.

GPC results will contain parentage once the site coordinators make their data entries.

I should reiterate.

We have several old-time ag fairs in this area. Their results are rarely made public beyond a local paper & they never inquire about the hierarch of the entries.

I was not implying that any of the recent or upcoming Giant Pumpkin weigh-offs are "lame".

Excellent information. Thanks for pointing about the heritage/genetics. Since I'm always learning, it's great to point out what to "outsiders" may not be something so obvious to do.

Even with dealing with these big guys at KY State Fair for the last 4 fairs, I learn something new each and every fair. And I'm just now understanding some of these details and how important they are!
