Hello I'm new to the board, my name is Bob Singleton from Portsmouth RI. This is my first year growing the AG. The past years I have been growing Big Max pumpkins in my home garden but this year I tried some "store bought AG seeds" which grew a nice round 300lb AG. I'm now hooked, next year soil tests, better seeds and a lot of manure.

Lobsterdude, Get in touch with the SNGPG. Just got back from the RI patch tour and have to say it was the best experience I have had in my short growing career. Great people, lots of information and a class organization.

Frank knows all the secrets and that is the first one. The second is you have to listen to your pumpkin. http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=72764
