Try for the uglier ones. Worked in College. May need the extra beer for yourself. I say it is heat related too. I cooled down the plants when it was too hot. Can use frozen milk jugs near the females or cold well water drench if possible. When it is hot and sticky, there's no time for.... When the frost is on the pumkin then it time for...

Them girls are to hot...the thought of pollination doesn't even cross there minds/ Like rob said a little frozen bottles, an old beer cooler, a shade cloth, and some sexy talking. You will have females more receptive to pollination.
