Do not want to hijack the post 2 doors down, as here is his post Where is a good place to buy one? Anyone have a used one for sale by chance?hoots dirt (Mark) Farmville, Virginia Here is the new one, well I thought p & p used to sell the real ring, as well as the dill web site, but I could be wrong. I also heard of a good ol grower named Burt Doornward who used to build the best rings. If anyone has any good info on how to obtain one of the good old well built ones shoot me a Private e-mail thank you, or I may have to resort to bending metal, welding, and an ocasional visit to a buddy who does furniture restoration...I would rather not spend time putting one together from scratch as a beginner lifting ring builder, as it is always better to consult with a professional on matters this serious...lol..Thank You, Happy Growing..JK

I was talking about this the other day at work..They don't understand the 2,000 pound capacity needed for a pumpkin lifting ring..lol I am sure we could make some prestine lifting rings. Powder coated in your favorite color.

Don Crews told me he picked up an old steering wheel from a vehicle salvage and uses it as a lifting ring, I tried one and sure works good.
